Especially now, with the summer holiday season approaching, families with children in particular are planning their place in the sun on one of the numerous camping sites and have to pay attention to every cent. But couples and groups who love and appreciate the special flair of experiencing nature directly are also increasingly turning to one of the diverse camping offers. Because a camping holiday is one of the cheapest and yet most exciting forms of holiday. Living in nature and rays of sunshine cost nothing - at most a certain amount of pre-planning in order to be able to benefit from the advantages of budget-friendly self-sufficiency.
Lodges, glamping tents, penthouse camping say hello
Having to share a few square meters of space in small, musty tents and sleeping on an uncomfortable air mattress directly on hard ground was a thing of the past. Nowadays, camping sites offer generously sized alternatives in which even a family of four can comfortably find space in the “ mini-sized holiday chalets ”. Many camping operators have taken up the increased demand among holidaymakers in view of tight holiday budgets and the willingness to make a virtue of necessity and have now provided an offer that meets the growing demand

Luxury camping rental accommodation and alternative camping concepts with tree houses, teepees, yurts , fully equipped lodge tents and camping in rented, private gardens including shared use and management of the garden contributed significantly to these optimistic sales expectations.
Camping alternative: camp spots
Online platforms already offer so-called camp spots in gardens, parks or on private beaches. You can also protect your holiday budget by reducing the rental price for a while by doing your own work such as mowing the lawn, trimming hedges or pulling weeds in the rented garden. If you want it to be comfortable, you should bring equipment from home and make sure that comparatively heavy equipment such as the petrol lawn mower can be used regardless of location and, above all, with the support of the engine power .
You can often spend the night in a tent on private property for eight to ten euros - personal contact with locals and, in the worst case scenario, sore muscles from mowing the rented lawn without wheel drive for free - especially if the area is large and has a gradient of more than five percent, which cannot always be avoided in private facilities.

With average prices between 600 and 1,500 euros per week, most families can make their dream of owning their own accommodation come true.
Tour operators, campsite operators, farmers and other property owners have recognized the signs of the times and have jumped on the glamping and campspot bandwagon in order to participate in the boom and market their rental accommodation with increasing success.
What to consider when glamping
First of all, an apparent banality: A glamper does not need to bring a tent with Lodges & Co. In addition, the classic camping stove and sleeping bag are no longer necessary, as glamping accommodations are typically equipped with everything, or do not have to be equipped with the basic camping equipment: crockery and cutlery, camping-friendly pots, laundry, sleeping mats, folding chairs and tables . Basically, the more expensive a glamping-style accommodation is, the less you have to bring with you, exceptions are always included. However, some useful details such as

In principle, you should always bring along just in case the relevant accessories are missing from a fully equipped glamping facility . And: Planning a glamping trip is basically the same as with other vacation trips - except that camping luxuriously also means having to dig a little deeper into your pockets.
