The topic of “glamping” is often very heatedly discussed in the camping industry. It is therefore not surprising that the term glamping was heavily discussed at this year's Bavarian Camping Day in Bad Windsheim. Camping and glamping experts, campsite operators, glamping providers and producers of glamping accommodation come together at this industry meeting in Franconia.
The future prospects of glamping as part of the camping industry were discussed both emotionally and scientifically. Whether glamping cannibalizes classic camping could be denied from a scientific perspective. Ultimately, Stefan Thurn from the ADAC was unable to answer whether glamping is followed by bamping (basic camping) or champing (church camping in churches). However, we took some very interesting perspectives and comments and summarized them here in this video:
