Description Glamping
The Ecolodge Hinterland's covered wagon is the ideal domicile for all adventure seekers who love simple camp life and want to be in harmony with nature. Spend cozy campfire nights under the starry sky and lie down in a cozy, fragrant hay bed.
The covered wagon is equipped with a rainproof tarpaulin that protects you from bad weather. In addition to the hay bed (attention allergy sufferers!), which is covered with a bed sheet, there is a small indoor seating area and storage space for your luggage. A highlight is the covered, fold-out outdoor kitchen at the head of the car. This is equipped with water tanks, a gas hob and all important cooking utensils.
Pillows, towels and sheets are provided. You must bring your own sleeping bags and blankets.
For minor personal hygiene and emergency needs, there is an unusual natural bathroom with a compost separating toilet and a washbasin with a sink and drinking water container. Unfortunately there is no shower, but the outdoor pool is almost right around the corner.
There is a fire bowl and outdoor furniture where you can relax.
For one night in the “Chuck Wagon” we charge €80/night. The cost of the final cleaning is €30 (one-off).
The covered wagon is located in a natural garden belonging to BUND e.V. Biedenkopf. In the neighborhood there is the Lahntalschule, the youth hostel and some other garden plots. The Lahn flows not far from the location and the Lahntal cycle path, the Lahn hiking trail and some popular walking paths are just a stone's throw away.
Our guests have the property all to themselves, only the beekeepers sometimes stop by to check on their bee colonies.
The garden offers plenty of space and a fire bowl with grill grate is also available. Despite the natural surroundings, restaurants, a small kiosk, a bakery and butcher shop as well as the outdoor swimming pool can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. The “Biedenkopf Campus” train stop is also in the immediate vicinity. Trains towards Marburg and Erndtebrück leave here every hour.

Directions
To the Bauwagen Lodge: You drive into Biedenkopf and follow the main road (regardless of which direction you are coming from) to the DRK Hospital. Here you turn into Obermühlsweg and follow the road until you cross the “Obermühlsbrücke”, which crosses the Lahn. Shortly after the bridge, turn right and then turn left again to stay on “Am Roten Weg”. Continue following the road straight up the mountain. A few hundred meters later you reach the next bridge that crosses the B62. You can stop in front of the bridge and park your car on the side of the path. Then follow the meadow path on foot until you reach the garden gate.

To the Western Lodge: You drive into Biedenkopf and follow the main road (regardless of which direction you are coming from) to the DRK Hospital. Here you turn into Obermühlsweg and then, immediately after you have crossed the railway tracks, turn right again onto “Am Freibad”. Then follow the road until you pass the youth hostel on your left. Then turn left onto the small tar path and then turn left again onto the gravel path at the next opportunity. You follow this for about 30 meters. Just before the curve you can park your car on the left side. There you can already see the silver garden gate to the property.
