Description Glamping site
At two locations, our cars offer all the requirements for a self-sufficient glamping adventure in the middle of the beautiful nature of the Hessian hinterland on the edge of the Lahn-Dill-Bergland Nature Park. With a lot of enthusiasm and attention to detail, we expanded the two construction trailers and the covered wagon ourselves and gave them a new shine. In their few square meters they now offer all the comfort for an extraordinary overnight experience that you won't soon forget.
Our lodges are located on two garden plots belonging to BUND e.V. Biedenkopf outside the development in the middle of nature. There are only a few other garden plots with weekend cottages in the neighborhood. The Lahn flows not far away and the Lahntal cycle path and the Lahn hiking trail are just a stone's throw away. The garden plots offer plenty of space and are each equipped with a fireplace with grill. There is no electricity or water connection, but light and drinking water for washing up and washing the cats are of course still provided. You can store perishable foods cool in the earth refrigerators.
The Bauwagen Lodge offers space for around 4-5 people, in the Wester Lodge there is a bed with two beds. Dogs are also welcome guests.
Both lodges offer views of Biedenkopf Castle. By the way, it's worth visiting the "Hinterland Museum", the beer garden and climbing the tower! Despite the natural surroundings, restaurants/cafés, bakeries and butchers, a small kiosk and the outdoor swimming pool can be reached in less than 15 minutes on foot. The latter is open from around May to September and could be visited for showering if necessary.

To the Bauwagen Lodge: You drive into Biedenkopf and follow the main road (regardless of which direction you are coming from) to the DRK Hospital. Here you turn into Obermühlsweg and follow the road until you cross the “Obermühlsbrücke”, which crosses the Lahn. Shortly after the bridge, turn right and then turn left again to stay on “Am Roten Weg”. Continue following the road straight up the mountain. A few hundred meters later you reach the next bridge that crosses the B62. You can stop in front of the bridge and park your car on the side of the path. Then follow the meadow path on foot until you reach the garden gate.

To the Western Lodge: You drive into Biedenkopf and follow the main road (regardless of which direction you are coming from) to the DRK Hospital. Here you turn into Obermühlsweg and then, immediately after you have crossed the railway tracks, turn right again onto “Am Freibad”. Then follow the road until you pass the youth hostel on your left. Then turn left onto the small tar path and then turn left again onto the gravel path at the next opportunity. You follow this for about 30 meters. Just before the curve you can park your car on the left side. There you can already see the silver garden gate to the property.
